Cuppa Tea Pet? - Tea VLOG & Reviews - June & July 2014

It has been a little while since I did my last 'cuppa tea pet?' where I talk about the tea that I have veen drinking in the last month. So the last one I did was in April and that was a post tea special and so since then I have been mainly drinking that lot as there was quite a lot there. It has warmed up here in the UK and I just don't really feel like drinking that much tea in the warmer weather, instead I tend to drink more water. I am still drinking tea though but not quite as much as I was. I am also drinking a good old builders brew quite a lot at the moment too, it is funny how I often come round to that.

So other than the post tea what have I been drinking? Well I have gone back to two old faithfuls of mine, firstly Twinings Camomile. This has and always will be my all time favourite tea to drink. I just love it and it is one that I pretty much always have in my cupboards, I just don't think I could do without it! Secondly a good favourite of mine is the chai tea latte. I really like this in the evening when you fancy something sweet and need to hit that craving, this does the job rather nicely. I really like to take my time with this one and savour the indulgence. Again I don't think there will ever be a time when this isn't in my cupboard!

The past couple of months I have also been drinking a couple of Yogi Teas. Now Yogi Tea are one of my favourite brands and you can find them here in the UK in most health food shops and also online and I know they are also available in the States. Now one of them I really enjoyed and the other one I didn't. I really didn't like the Fennel with Rose! I like fennel but couple with the rose...bleugh....it just wasn't for me. To me I felt like the two flavours were competing with each other rather than complementing and it wasn't just me, my Mum thought the same. I have also tried to offer the remaing tea to friends and no one seems to want to give it a try so all round this doesn't seem to be a winner, no one fancies even trying it. Or well I tried and now I can tick it off my list as having done so. On the other hand I really liked the Women's Energy, the blend of hibiscus and ginger really worked for me and complimented each other well. If you read the reviews online of this tea, everyone raves about the health benefits in terms of helping with cycle issues as well as with acne. Now I didn't notice any benefits myself although I only drank the one box and that was intermingled with other teas during two months. Maybe I should buy this again and drink it regularly to see if it does have any effect as everyone claims that it does!

Lastly I have been drinking the Sweet Chai by Higher Living. I still haven't fully made up my mind as to what I think about this tea, I seem to have a love hate relationship with it! On the one hand I love chai so love that aspect but then on the other hand it is quite strong, and almost tastes or feels heavy and sticky as well as being quite on the spicy side. I am not sure about it at all so that says to me that if I am not loving it that maybe I should give it a miss!

So that is everything that I have been drinking this past couple of months I am not sure when I will be back with another tea post whether it will be in one month or two, I suppose that depends on how much tea I have been drinking! I do have some lovely teas to try out though! When I went to London recently I popped into Fortnum & Masons and made a purchase of one of their tea collection boxes. I am looking forward to trying this however I was a little disappointed when I got home and looked at the box to discover that I had bought the 'green tea with...' rather than the actual teas, I think I picked up the wrong box as I know I was looking at the right one! Oh well, I am not a massive green tea lover but I am certainly willing to give it a try so I will let you know.

Until next time, happy tea drinking lovies x

Tea by Post - Cuppa Tea Pet? April 2014

Pop the kettle on lovies it is tea time again! This months 'cuppa tea pet?' I am talking all about one company but different types of tea. Oh keep reading as there is a giveaway right at the bottom of the blog!

I came accross Post Tea when a suggested advert came up on my Facebook home page. Of course not one to turn anything to do with tea down, I 'liked' the page and I am so glad that I did because a couple of days later the lovely lady who owns the company posted about a new sampler box. The sampler box is simply that, lots of lovely individually wrapped packets of loose leaf tea so you can try in a smaller size before committing to purchase a larger one. Perfect!

All the individual packets of loose leaf tea came individually wrapped in little packets that look so sweet, it really was a delight to open and see all their little cute and happyness in the box. I am a bit of a packing nerd and I like to 'feel special' about things, I know that is probably hard to explain. I like to feel good about using a product and I really liked the feeling that these gave me. I felt instantly good about the tea before I had even tasted it.

The tea is all loose leaf which in my connoisseur capacity I believe to be the best kind. The tea was all kept perfectly fresh and dry in their little packets and arrived to me in the most perfect of conditions. I took a photo of a couple of them so you could see what they looked like.

Lemon Gunpowder

Refreshing Infusion

Pepperming Infusion
Of course I am into tea in a big way, I think you know that by now right? So it is safe to say that I have one or two tea strainers, but don't worry if you don't, because little tea bags were included so you can make your own little tea bags. It is little touches like this from companies that makes me so happy. I had no idea that they would be included but a very nice touch indeed.

I also ordered the Spring Tea set which was again delightful and beautifully packaged.

And also came with a tea ball strainer so no worries if you don't already have one !

The three teas that were included in the box were Spring Spritzer, Camomile Infusion and Strawberry Split.

I have thoroughly enjoyed most of the teas and I will definitely be placing future orders for myself and for gifts. I am rather taken by the 'make your own chait tea kit' where you can mix and match the spices so you get it just right for you. I am also really tempted for later on in the year with the Tea Advent calendar, how exciting, a different tea every day during advent!

Well that was a bit of an overview on the company and the tea that I bought and as I have said I was very impressed and will definitely be making future purchases. If you would like to know my opinions on the taste of each individual tea, please do watch the video...

PLEASE NOTE: Any of the links in this post to the Post Tea website are NOT affiliate links. This video / blog is in no way sponsored by the company. I purchased the tea myself and am sharing my own views and opinions with you just because I love tea and I love this company too! The photography is also my own.

Cuppa Tea Pet? - What I have been drinking in February & March 2014

Pop the kettle on lovies as it is Tea Time! Well time for me to talk about tea anyway.

It is no secret that I loves me a cuppa tea. If you follow me on instagram you will often find piccies of tea, tea hauls, tea mugs, where I am drinking my tea photos etc etc. A little bit tea obsessed is what I be. In fact I have really ramped up my tea drinking of late, I don't know why for sure but I am thinking that it could be something to do with the season. During the winter months I was opting for a good 'ol builders brew and now Spring has sprung here, I am going back over to my herbals more and I am really loving them.

So I am back with my 'cuppa tea pet?' series, the series in which I talk about and review the teas that I have been drinking. Love them or hate them I tell you all. I have combined February & March into one but I may do another one in April as I have so much to talk about.

If tea is not your thing or you don't like talk about tea then this video is not for you. It is serious tea overload and I loves it!

So on the menu were the following:

1. Chocolate Flake Tea - Tea Pigs
2. Three Tulsi - Pukka Herbs
3. Blackcurrant Burst - Twinings
4. Happy Me - English Tea Shop
5. Sensual Me - English Tea Shop
6. Calming Fennel - Twinings

It was certainly a couple of months of very pleasant drinking indeed. I mentioned in the video that I needed to find a stockist of the English Tea shop and well, lo and behold they have their own e-commerce website. Yippeeee! I am off to have a browse and see what lovely teas I can sample over the next coming months. Oh happy days.

See you soon for another cuppa tea pet x

This is a monthly series whereby I talk about the tea that I have drunk in that month and my thoughts on it. Part vlog and part review. If you don't like tea or talk about tea then this video is not for you  ; )

What a tea lover wants

I am here again to help you out with that last minute Christmas shopping for the tea lover in your life. I love tea which you well and truly know if you follow me on instagram etc as I am always talking about my tea! I was perusing on Etsy as I often do when I came across a couple of fun tea related things and I thought it would be fun to do a little tea related treasury. As a massive tea lover I would be delighted if I was given any of these things.

Some of the things are simply adorable like the nails decals and the bunny hiding in the cup. So incredibly cute. Wait tea and bunnies, a perfect match for me! I thought the gin and tonic tea sounded like a bit of a hoot too. Some really different and unusual items for any tea lover here.

Do click on the image to take you to the treasury and the individual items!

Happy tea shopping x

My First Ever FLOWBOX unopening!

As you know if you have been following me for a while now,  Mr B and I are vegetarians. I have been a veggie on and off for nearly my entire life. Mainly on than off to be honest. At one point I was veggie for ten straight years. It helped that my Mum was also veggie so she cooked the most scrumptious meals for us. My Dad is and always will be a massive carnivore! I also like to be conscious of what I am putting in and on and around my body.

I prefer to go for more natural or environmentally products where possible. The only thing I find is that I struggle to find good or new products. My town isn't all that big and we only have a very small health food shop that couldn't possibly stock lots of things. I guess in a way I was starting to get a bit fed up with the same stuff all the time.

As you know I already subscribe to Glossybox and Graze as I do unboxing and reviews for those for you which I know from your comments you love to see! Whilst browsing the net one day I came accross an advert (I think, I can't really remember now!) for The Flowbox and I was really excited to find out that this monthly subscription box would be full of eco-friendly products for the home, toiletries and also vegan food. Perfect!

The Flowbox launched only this month with this being the first ever box that they sent out so I was even more excited to share it with you guys! So I hope you enjoy my unboxing. I was really very impressed with the variety and type of products as well as the size. No sample / trial sizes here!! It even included a box of tea. Yay!

Now I paid for my box and will continue to do so, I don't have an affilitate link or anything but I do have a coupon code for you to get £5 off your first box should you wish to sign up. Just to clarify, I don't get anything for this (in case you were wondering), I am just passing it on for you!  Use code GOFLOW13 for £5 off at https://www.theflowbox.co.uk
