Craft Space Envy

This month's craft space envy...

This reminds me of a lovely class room and would be great for communal crafting!

September's Craft Space Envy

August's craft space envy...

mmm.... oh to be able to walk into a space that is this clean, fresh, light, airy and tidy! oh boy! Part of me thinks it is too tidy (I know it was probably just for the photo shoot) but at least you could find everything you wanted and everything has its own place. For me whilst I love it, I thing I need a bit more colour and chaos in my life!

A bit of London Glamour

I have been looking around for a while now a monthly beauty box subscription and have been deliberating on which one to get. To be honest with you I could get quite a few as they all look good! I could so get the Birchbox as I like the idea of more organic toiletries. I also like the look of EcoEmi for the foods items as well as the beauty. And there is also fortune cookie but I don't think they deliver to the UK which is a shame as their items really appeal to me.

In the end I decided on the Glossybox.

I decided to get a monthly subscription to try new things and experiment more. I feel like I have been quite stagnant in my cosmetics lately and so it is time to shake it up!

I was really excited to get my first box and decided like a lot of other bloggers and YouTubers, to share it with you so here is my unopening of the September box. I will do a review of this box at the same time as I do an opening of the October box so watch out for that one!

The theme of the box is London glamour. Take a look...

Getting back in touch with my body!

I am getting back in touch with my body and getting back to working out but not going to the gym, going back to old school workouts in the front room with Mr Motivator on DVD. I

thought I would do a bit of a vlog all about it. Why and how I am getting back into working out following my rough start to the year being hospitalized with pneumonia.

My favourite art supplies for using in my art journal

I get emails all the time asking me what products I use and ones that I would reccommend. When it comes to reccommendations, of course I have MY favourites but they might not always be your favourites. People work with different products in different ways and I have found that I haven't enjoyed using what others have, we are all different after all!

My advice is to always experiment until you find what you enjoy using. That being said I know and appreciate it can be costly to buy new materials all the time. And of course companies bring out new products all the time to tempt us! They know that we can't resist after all. Right?

So I thought I would do a video to show you what my favoured products are or at least the products that I am using at the moment. I am sure my tastes will change as I go in and out of love with products, but for now here they are:

My Summer 2013 Beauty Favourites

I am really into using seasonal inspired products. I have always as long as I can remember been into nail varnish, make up, toiletries, books and art. This is not new for me I am just getting back to who I used to be. It has been a struggle over the years as life takes over but I am finally in a place where I know what makes me happy and I do it! Trying new products does just that and I love using products released for seasons. I hope that makes sense! For example in the Summer I am into coconut smelling bath foam but tend to go for something more spicy in the Autumn or Winter.

I thought I would share with you what my favorites have been for this Summer. This is the first in a series of videos that I hope to do over the coming year and maybe beyond, who knows!

Let me know if you have any suggestions for Autumnal beauty products, I am genuinely interested to know!

Here are my Summer 2013 beauty favourites

Book Review - The Torn Series by Amanda Hocking

I love to read when I can find the time in between life and journaling. As you know I already do art book reviews here on the blog and also on my YouTube channel. Well I thought I would start doing other book reviews over on the Ginger Juice channel too! Of course I will still keep doing my art book reviews but to be honest I haven't bought as many recently, I am being good!!

So to kick off the first of the book reviews, we have the "Torn" series by Amanda Hocking.

Introducing Ginger Juice

For a while now I have been thinking of doing more and different videos but I wasn't entirely sure that I should have them on the same YouTube channel because the subscribers I have obviously wanted to subscribe based on the content that was there already so I decided to create a new one called Ginger Juice.

So the Mrs Brimbles channel will be about art stuff, art book reviews, mail art, art vlogs, journals, art journals, filofax & organisation and the Ginger Juice channel will be book reviews, juicing recipes, healthy and beauty, product reviews, general vlogs, my bunnies and piggies etc. Just anything!!!

I am going to keep this blog though for both elements as I know there will be an overlap of interest because I already have people who have subscribed to both channels so I am assuming that there will be interest for that and as with all my blog posts, I do label them so you can go to the right of this page and click on the word and it will bring up blog posts that you want to read. Make sense? I hope so as I am not sure that I am articulating it right.

I hope it works ok this way, I know of other blogger and youtubers who do it this way so I hope you like it too!

So here we are, introducing Ginger Juice to you.

What is in my Graze Box

I have started a subscription with Graze for a box once a fortnight. Before I started the subscription I wondered what you actually get in one because although the website was lovely, I hadn't seen any real life people like bloggers or vloggers talking about it so I couldn't see what it was like from a person buying it perspective. I received a coupon in a magazine so I decided to bite the bullet and go for it.

I have to say that so far I have been delighted with my box. I thought I would do a few videos so that if people are in the same position as me they can see what it is like before they commit.

Let's Juice - Green and Good for you!

I love to juice. I am really very bad at eating my five a day,  I always have been which is pretty bad for a vegetarian I know. Juicing is my saviour though and it makes me feel healthy just thinking about it. I used to have an expensive juicer which broke and now I have a cheap one until I can afford to get a more expensive one. Mine works it is just not as efficient as a more expensive one is and some of the juice is lost. I just thought I would start sharing some of my recipes with you and showing you that you don't need fancy stuff to start juicing and that juicing is for everyone!

So let's make a nice green yummy juice that tastes so much better than it looks!

This is my own made up recipe. If it turns out that it is the same as someone's I do apologize it was not intentionally copied!

Another art journal flip for you!

I have finished another journal. I loved working in this one, I really did. I loved the size of it and really enjoyed working on the pages loose leaf so that there was no white space on the edge near the spirals. I always feel a bit sad when I finish a journal that I have enjoyed working in. I find it becomes part of me or an extension of me and it almost becomes like a security blanket. Anyway it is finished so I must move on.

Here is a flip of the inside for you to see. Have fun!

Vlog It!

I have been really into the vlogging of late rather than the blogging. I have said before, I just find it so much easier to talk in front of a camera than I do to sit down and type. Here is another vlog and p.s. I decided not to do Vlogtober after all, I thought it would be too much to vlog every day!
