I am ALWAYS the oldest person on a team, i am 52 years old. I am a retired business owner. I retired quite early (46) and I needed to find something to do with my time and scrapbooking or doing something creative was always something I was interested in. I never had time with running a business so I purchased my first die cutting machine, started a blog even though I knew nothing about a blog or social media at the time. So I just jumped in with all feet and started to learn the in's and out's of the craft world.
I was intrigued by everything. I thought at first I would like to scrap my pics, do some 12 x 12 layouts but it didn't take me long to realize that was not my forte. On to cardmaking! I loved it and still do alot of cards. Then I tackled harder items like 3d paper piecing and I was in love.
Along the way I started applying for design teams and I got one several really great teams and didn't get picked for several great teams ha ha but I didn't let it discourage me (well a little I did but disappointment is expected)
I have done some tutorials, dabbled in youtube, I love instagram the most and I am a facebook-er.
I have always used a planner in some form with my business because even though I had a smart phone I wasn't always smart enough to pay attention to my calendar on the darn thing. I am a visual person, I like seeing a physical calendar so I would use one to keep track of my appointments. I have always loved going to buy office supplies and I can spend hours in a Staples or Office Max and don't get me started looking through those silly Target dollar spots. It frustrates me because my target is lame.
While crafting I started to notice a lot of planner related post and I thought oh how I would love to decorate my planner and do some planner accessories. So I started making paperclips. I was a bit obsessed! But it has gotten me connected with some awesome people and Anna being at the top of that list. I watched her videos all the time and just feel like I know her so well from them. Its a way to connect with people across the country from you. I am in the United States. I tell her all the time that after watching her videos I go around the house saying things trying to mimic her accent which I think is totally adorable.
My love for crafting merging with my love of stationary and planners were a match made in heaven. Here are a few of my favorite projects and clips.
Thank you so much for letting me share with you a bit of myself!
